Dear Bagistas, Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week SS09 just started and already I've brush elbows with Anna Wintoutr on her way into the BCBGmaxazria show. I struck up a lovely conversation with one of my favorite fashion personalities Robert Verdi and I'm making nice with the sweet pr gals over at the Office Max booth. The booth, new to the tents, is a refreshing white space with plenty of pens, paper, yummy cupcakes in the shape of notebooks and laptops. I imagine Ill be spending a lot of time in this area given that the people are pleasant and the space is useful. This is one advertiser I'm really liking - I'm not liking the Mercedes-Benz cars that yet again are occupying space that should be seating and accessory presentations. They are beautiful, but can we get them outsid or maybe just do one car? I'll be back soon. PS In one hour I head to the AMEX Skybox to chat up the Perry Ellis show. I promise to take pictures. Dear Bagistas, Fashion Week starts tomorrow actually today since its now 12:30am and Im excited about what well see for Spring/Summer 2009. Im also thrilled that Ill be a featured fashion insider at the AMEX Skybox located inside the Tent and the Promenade, the two larger venues allocated for the best shows during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. So what is this AMEX Skybox? Dear Bagistas, This holiday weekend, sure you'll want to enjoy the last hirah by the pool as your friend fire's up the grill, but don't forget to stock up on fall must-haves - and take advantage of weekend SALES.
 Here are my personal picks for head-to-toe fashion for the coming season. You'll defenitly want that high-waisted look and with this dress you don't have to fuss with shuving a shirt into your shirt and then wondering if you can see the seem of the shirt through the skirt. Booties are still hot, hot, hot. If you don't have any from last year, these are a good choice. Round up the look with a some color. Blue, magenta, purple, dark green. Almost any shade goes! The brand has teamed up with Brickfish, a California-based marketing firm specializing in online campaigns (which happens to also employ my former boss and secret mentor well not so secret anymore - Karen Robinovitz), to launch a world-wide-web contest for the next must-have Coach tote.
