If you want to explore some of the many free backing papers online, here are some great links to get you started.

Backing Papers for Free one of the best resources, these are arranged according to various designs and colours, such as celtic, buttons, childrens, music, patterns, blue and green, these all stay online for one year before being updated with new designs.

Lots of Free Downloads youll find lots of great free backing papers, plus matching envelopes, templates and embellishments, to download from the Cardmaking and Papercraft website. You do need to register your email address in order to download them, but its quick and easy.

Blue Themed Papers there are six blue (with hints of purple in some) backing papers available to download from the Medley Blog.

Free Craft Stuff - this site caters for a variety of crafting techniques, including papercrafting. Savvy N Sassy are looking for TWO energetic and creative designers who love ribbon to join our design team!
If you are interested in receiving a new and exciting ribbon card in the mail each month filled with beautiful designs and colors then this call is for you!

Each month you will receive our Ribbon Kit of the Month in the mail. In turn, you will provide for us three projects/layouts to showcase in our gallery. These items created are not sole property of Savvy n Sassy. You will be able to post them in other online galleries, blogs, submissions etc. The only stipulation we ask is that you just add in the “ribbon provided by Savvy n Sassy” phrase when sharing your layouts.
You will also be responsible for 1 or 2 “How to” entries on the Savvy n Sassy Blog, and participation in our online crop (we have one crop per 6 month term).

Design Team members will receive a discount on stock in store and free shipping on purchases with each months kit. (as long as they are lettermail, larger items will be charged extra)

As a design team member, we are seeking individuals who are interested in bonding with the team as a whole, have time to post and upload layouts to share and inspire with everyone on a regular basis. All applicants must be active in the forum/gallery in that they are familiar with our members and the overall environment of SnS.

If you are interested and believe you would be a fit for our team then please submit the following:

– three projects or layouts showcasing your use of ribbon (created in the last 3 months)

Summer time is Lifestyles Channel’s theme for the month of May.

It’s quite hard to imagine summertime in New Zealand now that we’re about to winter. So I’ll reminisce my summer holidays of my childhood when I was living in the Philippines. I remember every year, we go to my family’s favorite pool resort where my Mom had a special pass for being an executive of her company. All my photos during the summer outings were of me with VERY, VERY dark skin. Skin darkened by spending so much time in the pool where the only ‘white’ thing you can is the white of my eyes and my teeth when I smile.

Those were good times. We could order our favorite snacks from the pool bar and we can eat them while in the swimming pool’s swings. It was glorious. Every weekend was a trip to the pool and those were the times when my siblings and I didn’t bicker. I am sure my parents loved that! Haha
